Considering retaining me for consulting work?

You’re welcome to book an intro call to discuss a consulting engagement. Before you do, I have to stress that I work with a specific kind of client and I ask that you fit the mold. I am of little use when it comes to businesses who are:

  1. Selling commodity products to broad consumer audiences ($5 mobile apps, for example, or jewelry, fashion, beverages, furniture, etc)
  2. Focused solely on implementation without needing strategic advice – my work is a blend of both
  3. Looking for someone to produce polished deliverables – I provide ideas, outlines, edits, and even rough drafts for sales/marketing/brand assets. But I don’t produce them.
  4. Selling to a local-market – my clients typically sell solutions to a national or international audience; I’m adept at the latter having lived half my life abroad. 

I tend to work with high-growth, small-headcount B2B tech firms that sell high-value software, consulting, and information/data.

Sometimes that includes firms that sell to an audience of professionals or HNW individuals.

But for the most part, my clients sell something fairly complex to other businesses.
